Answering All Your Questions
1. How much money will I make? How many people will read my book?
We get it—this is the question every author wants answered. The truth is, it depends on a few key factors.
We pay out 90% of all subscription revenue collected over a six-month period, with payments based on:
✅ The number of downloads your book receives
✅ The number of readers who sign up using your unique author code (Each author gets a code that gives new subscribers one free month—when they sign up, you earn more!)
Both factors are equally weighted, meaning the more people who download your book and the more sign-ups you generate, the higher your payout. While earnings will vary, we estimate payouts to range from hundreds to thousands of dollars, depending on the book’s success.
2. Do you want new books, or can I submit an older book that starts a series?
We prefer newer books (less than a year old), but we will consider older books if they are part of a series—under one condition:
📖 At least the first three books in the series must be included on the platform, published in sequential months—but only if those books are already published. That means:
Month 1: Book One
Month 2: Book Two
Month 3: Book Three
🚨 If you are submitting the first book in a series and the next books are not yet published, we require the right to publish the next two books in the series after you write them. This ensures readers get a complete experience and aren't left waiting indefinitely for the next installment.
The good news? You’ll be paid individually for each book, meaning three times the download payout!
3. Can I ask readers to sign up for my email list and follow me on social media?
Absolutely! We encourage it.
📢 We ask all authors to include their website and social media links in their book blurb. This isn’t just about a one-time read—it’s about helping indie authors build a lasting fanbase. We want readers to connect with you, follow your journey, and keep reading your work long after they finish their first book!
4. What are my chances of getting accepted?
It depends. Here’s what we’re looking for:
✅ Well-edited books with compelling characters and strong storytelling
✅ Popular genres that readers are actively looking for
✅ Books that meet our quality standards—we only feature 5 books per month, so every selection has to be top-tier
🚨 What we don’t require: A large social media following. While authors with engaged audiences tend to do well, we prioritize quality writing over online presence.
5. You’re launching in Spring 2025—do you already have your book lineup?
We have most of the books for our first few months, but not all.

6. Can my book be available for free on Kindle Unlimited or other websites?
Your book can be available for purchase on other platforms during the month it is featured on Romance eBook Club. However, it cannot be available for free on Kindle Unlimited or any other free or subscription-based platform during that time.
Additionally, if your book is listed for sale elsewhere, it must be priced at a minimum of $2.99 to maintain the exclusive value of our curated selections.
Once the promotion month ends, you are free to add your book to Kindle Unlimited or any other subscription service. This approach helps maximize your earnings while ensuring our readers receive high-quality, exclusive romance reads.
